Turning a Garage Into a Living Space
With a garage remodel it's possible to to turn a small, detached garage into a livable space. Small spaces always require the most innovative makeover solutions, and one Seattle artist and designer has really pushed the envelope with her design for a little 250 square foot garage.
Michelle de la Vega completely transformed the space with a fresh coat of paint inside and out and the addition of a sleeping loft. She even managed to fit a well organized kitchen with open storage into the space by using vintage crates as drawers. She added a rustic wood stove for warmth and surrounded it with some of her own sculptural pieces. She also has her artwork decorating the walls over s small sofa and coffee table, and there is even a simple bathroom with a small tub.
